HANON x Padmore & Barnes M224 Higgins 'Hemp'
HANON and Padmore & Barnes come together for 4:20 to present a special ‘Hemp’ edition of the Higgins leisure shoe.
Originally released in 1978 as a boat-shoe inspired silhouette, the Padmore Higgins is a refined and understated model featuring a handstitched moccasin type construction. Our latest collaboration is entirely leather free and is complete with a full hemp material upper, cork footbed and faux leather lining.
Made in Portugal to an edition of 60 pairs, this version is a lightweight model due in part to the material application. The traditional crepe outsole is substituted for an expanded EVA Vibram Morflex unit whilst both hemp and cork offer the shoe special characteristics. As well as being sustainable, responsibly cultivated and respectful of the environment, each material offers antibacterial properties and enhanced durability.
Finished in olive green and offset with purple accents, detailing appears by way of dual branding on opposing woven flag labels, double lace set, sticker hangtag and adjustable lace toggles whilst the unfinished edges on the hemp highlights the natural character of the fabric.
HANON x Padmore & Barnes Higgins ‘Hemp’ will be available via HANON Launches from 4.20pm on Thursday April 20th until Friday 28th April 13:00BST . Each pair will come with a packet of king size organic hemp papers custom made by Highland Papers in Scotland.
